About the Purdue GPA Scale
Purdue University uses a standard 4.0 GPA scale with full plus/minus grades in 0.3-step increments. The most notable feature: A+ and A both carry 4.0 grade points — the A+ is a transcript distinction only.
Purdue also offers the P/NP (Pass/No Pass) grading option. P/NP courses earn credits but no grade points, so they're excluded from the GPA calculation. Students can take up to 8 P/NP credits toward graduation.
