Every school's published grading scale — the exact percentage band for its top grade, the scale maximum, and the official source document. We use this table ourselves to verify our calculators. $53 schools · $9 countries · $53 verified.
The linear rule column shows what percentage = GPA × 25 would claim — and the error column shows how far off it is from the published band. Scroll down or use the country links to skip to your region.
Every school is different. The linear rule percentage = GPA × 25is wrong for every single school in the table. The error ranges from 3 percentage points (Arizona State, Purdue — where the top band starts at 97%) to 20 points (Memorial University, Monash — where the top band starts at 80%). The only safe conversion is the one your own registrar publishes.
If your school is not listed here, check your academic catalog or transcript key. The table you need is usually one search away — look for "grading system", "grade scales", or "grading policy" on your university's website.
